Introduction to club

The club was formed in 1986 and now has over 120 members of all different ages and abilities. •

The club encourages members to run in all local races, County Championship and fun runs, including cross country events and up to marathon distances. We also have large number of triathletes within the club. •

We have a large number of coaches who specialise in coaching children and adults both beginners and advanced. We have a number of triathlon coaches.

The club organises the local Billericay Striders 10k annual race which is the largest participative event in Billericay with 750 entries.

We hold a number of social events throughout the year.

We cater for all abilities and ages from 11+ .

We all hope that you will become a regular member of the Striders and will run with us for many years to come.

Tuesday and Thursday: Hannakins Farm Community Centre – 19:00 Hrs

Wednesday: Norsey Woods Car Park – 12:00 Hrs

Sunday: Lake Meadows Car Park – 08:30 Hrs

Tuesday and Thursday evenings Hannakins Farm Community Centre – 19:00 Hrs (Post code: CM12 0SY) During the summer a mix of road and cross country runs of different paces and lengths. On Tuesday evenings there are also coached training sessions at the Queens Park Country Park during the summer. On Thursday there are generally mixed pace group runs either on and off road in the summer and around the roads of Billericay in the winter.
Wednesday Norsey Woods Car Park – 12 noon A sociable run of approximately 6 miles

Sunday Lake Meadows Car Park – 08:30 Hrs A variety of on and off road runs of various length and pace. As many race events are held on Sunday its always worthwhile checking who is going to be running from the park on Sunday
