Club Captain and UKA coach Gerry facilitates a weekly session at 7.30am on a Saturday morning in Gloucester Park

The sessions focus on leg strength using the undulating hills on the open spaces of the park. 

The hour long interval sessions incorporate hill work and speed work. 

Leg strength through regular hill work is essential for all age of  athlete no matter what distance they plan to race . 

All abilities benefit greatly from doing these sessions on a regular basis.  

The 7.30am sessions finish in time for those interested in running the local Parkruns in Basildon or Wickford.
