For many years Gerry has run a coached session at Gloucester Park at 8am on Saturday mornings.
He organised this for members of David Lloyd, where he is a fitness coach, but he also welcomes runners from any of the local athletic / running clubs. Some of the Striders do attend but he feels more would benefit by incorporating a hill based session on grass into their weekly training.
The timing of the session clashes with the Parkrun — but it is well documented that you are unlikely to improve your parkrun time by always doing parkruns !
Even if only swapping one week in every four to do a coached hill based session runners could improve their parkrun times and overall running fitness!
Meet just inside the entrance to the Sporting Village car park at 8.00am and the group head for the hills at 8.10am — you will be home in Billericay by 10am
